The Mawanella Police inform that the 20-year-old Vidushika Nawanjana Bandara was reported missing by his mother on November 19th.
The young man, who was living in Higula, Manikkawa Watta area with his father, mother, and sister, has gone to a temple in Anamaduwa area of Puttalam in June 2022 to be ordained after appearing for the GCE Ordinary Level examination.
Later in October he had come home to visit his parents and left home to go back to the temples.
It is said that while on the way, he made a call to the complainant’s sister’s phone and announced that he was in Kegalle. But the Chief Incumbent of the temple has informed the parents that the youth did not return to the temple.
He was last seen wearing a green long sleeve shirt, blue denim shorts and a black hooded sweatshirt.
The police request the public to contact Mawanella Police Station Officer-In-Charge at 0718 59 14 18 or Mawanella Police Station on 035 22 47 222 if they have any information regarding the missing youth.
