The Counter Intelligence (CI) unit of Amritsar police Sunday busted an interstate arms smuggling gang and arrested three persons today. The module was smuggling arms from Madhya Pradesh to Punjab.
Police recovered 11 Pistols, 15 live cartridges, ₹2 lakh cash in this operation.
An FIR under Arms Act and Money Laundering Act was registered at State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar.
Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that they are putting in all efforts to identify the complete procurement & supply chain across the state and unearth the whole network.
